It's V1 [July sixteenth, 2005:197:15:01:30] Upload your pictures If you would like to upload your own photos, please start here. Just hit "browse", find the picture you want to upload, then click "upload". A window will pop up with several codes, we'll call that the "Code Page". I'll explain how to use those codes below. Backgrounds If you're planning on using the image as a background in Thomas' Myspace Editor, Copy (ctrl-c) The "DIRECT link to image" from the code page, and paste (ctrl-v) that code into the "background image URL" section of Thomas' Myspace Editor. Thumbnails If you want to show a regular image in a page, not as a background, try the "Thumbnails for websites" code. It will make a thumbnail of the picture that people can click on to see the full image. The thumbnail is a good size, so it won't take up the whole page. People can rate the picture too, after they see the full size version. Note that the "Thumbnails for websites" code will only work in places that allow HTML, like Myspace and many other profile sites. Some forums don't allow HTML, but do accept a special code for posting pictures. If you're posting on such a forum, try using one of the "Forum" codes. The picture will show up in the same place that the code is pasted. Sharing If you just want to show the picture to friends over email or Instant Message, I suggest using the "Show image to friends" code. From there, people will be able to see the full picture, download it and even rate it. In codes In almost all image-related codes, you'll need to use the URL (aka address, src or link) of the image in the code. If you want to use your image in a code like that, you definately need to use the "DIRECT link to image" code. Happy? Many people have trouble posting images. And so it's been, since the summer of 2002, our own sort of animated orchestra with all sorts of sense of humor. Toy songs with a hum-along hook. One minute light and happy like a cotton candy dandelion on a sunny Flokati evening. The next minute lost and sad, like a tiny box of memories cast out in space, when youd rather have kept it by you. With evil and with good. Now fully on, now fully off the mark. Just like in real cartoon life. Walk through the chirping looking glass, or follow your own shadow all the day long. That's Timid Tiger! Music for see-sawing, dreaming, dancing arm in arm and clapping your hands. Music to kiss to till you can kiss no more. One half of our music is sappy, oversweet and dripping with sentimentality, the other half is wild and moody like a flaming sunset in the east, and yet the two go naively, peacefully together, making up a whole. Through the art of the great Klaus Cornfield, our Tiger came to life. He once said of us, we're "full of feeling, and yet rock". It's a very charming description, and we hope somehow he is right... ( view more ) [ View All Blog Entries ] About 1 The New Heathens, a New York City based quintet steeped in rootsy rock n roll, are set to release their first album which encapsulates both the bands fiery live performances and skilled songwriting. The New Heathens self-produced debut record, Heathens Like Me , was recorded at Steve Earle guitarist, Yayhoo, songwriter, and uber-producer Eric Roscoe Ambels Cowboy Technical Services studio in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Greg Duffin, who has worked with Robbie Fulks and Joan Osbourne, engineered the sessions. Heathens Like Me is a gritty, eclectic mix of rock, country, folk and psychedelia. Tracks include the singalong rockers Getaway Baby, a jaunty story of female emancipation, and 141, an autobiographical tale set on 141st Street in Harlem. Heathens Like Me also includes the ballad When Shes Wasted, the satirical foot-stomper Back To Jesus, and Doomed Generation, an homage to the late gonzo journalist Hunter S. Thompson. As the song titles indicate, the album connects both coasts via blue highways. Goodnight Paterson explores the run-down New Jersey industrial town while July 1, Near Helena, MT tells a hilarious tale of alien paranoia combined with teen pyromania. Heathens Like Me closes with the rocker For Cryin Out Loud, a song performed by roots-rock supergroup the Yayhoos and written by Keith Christopher, a friend of the band who in addition to touring with the Georgia Satellites, Billy Joe Shaver and Kenny Wayne Shepherd, has also had his songs recorded by artists ranging from Ray Charles to Garth Brooks (and now, finally, the New Heathens). Formed in early 2005 the New Heathens bonded over their love of music steeped in the American traditions of blues, folk, country and rock n roll. Singer/songwriter Nate Schweber, of Missoula, Mont., plays acoustic guitar and harmonica. Butch Phelps, a Chatham, Mass. native who cut his teeth in the Portland, Ore. music scene, plays a red telecaster. Domenick Tiziano, of Mundelein, Ill. coaxes scorching licks from his collection of guitars. Dan Ambrico, a hard-rocking veteran of several New York City bands, plays bass. When the New Heathens original drummer Fabrice Gamon moved to his home in Paris, Uwe Petersen, a wild German native who has recorded with New Orleans great Dr. John, joined the fold. The New Heathens have performed with the Pillcrushers, fronted by Greg Beshers who moonlights in Velvet Underground drummer Moe Tuckers band as well as with fellow NYC alt. country belter Mary McBride.
