Content Generator Thomas' Image Help V1 (reborn, mix2, BETA) Welcome to Thomas' Image Help! Here I'll help you add images to websites, forums, profiles and other pages on the net. Much thanks to ImageShack for hosting the images! They're great. Please Donate to ImageShack to keep this valuable resource alive! This is a BETA version. It's V1 [July sixteenth, 2005:197:15:01:30] Upload your pictures If you would like to upload your own photos, please start here. Just hit "browse", find the picture you want to upload, then click "upload". A window will pop up with several codes, we'll call that the "Code Page". I'll explain how to use those codes below. Backgrounds If you're planning on using the image as a background in Thomas' Myspace Editor, Copy (ctrl-c) The "DIRECT link to image" from the code page, and paste (ctrl-v) that code into the "background image URL" section of Thomas' Myspace Editor. Thumbnails If you want to show a regular image in a page, not as a background, try the "Thumbnails for websites" code. It will make a thumbnail of the picture that people can click on to see the full image. The thumbnail is a good size, so it won't take up the whole page. People can rate the picture too, after they see the full size version. Note that the "Thumbnails for websites" code will only work in places that allow HTML, like Myspace and many other profile sites. Some forums don't allow HTML, but do accept a special code for posting pictures. If you're posting on such a forum, try using one of the "Forum" codes. The picture will show up in the same place that the code is pasted. Sharing If you just want to show the picture to friends over email or Instant Message, I suggest using the "Show image to friends" code. From there, people will be able to see the full picture, download it and even rate it. In codes In almost all image-related codes, you'll need to use the URL (aka address, src or link) of the image in the code. If you want to use your image in a code like that, you definately need to use the "DIRECT link to image" code. Happy? Many people have trouble posting images. The New Heathens self-produced debut record, Heathens Like Me , was recorded at Steve Earle guitarist, Yayhoo, songwriter, and uber-producer Eric Roscoe Ambels Cowboy Technical Services studio in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Greg Duffin, who has worked with Robbie Fulks and Joan Osbourne, engineered the sessions. Heathens Like Me is a gritty, eclectic mix of rock, country, folk and psychedelia. Tracks include the singalong rockers Getaway Baby, a jaunty story of female emancipation, and 141, an autobiographical tale set on 141st Street in Harlem. Heathens Like Me also includes the ballad When Shes Wasted, the satirical foot-stomper Back To Jesus, and Doomed Generation, an homage to the late gonzo journalist Hunter S. Thompson. As the song titles indicate, the album connects both coasts via blue highways. Goodnight Paterson explores the run-down New Jersey industrial town while July 1, Near Helena, MT tells a hilarious tale of alien paranoia combined with teen pyromania. Heathens Like Me closes with the rocker For Cryin Out Loud, a song performed by roots-rock supergroup the Yayhoos and written by Keith Christopher, a friend of the band who in addition to touring with the Georgia Satellites, Billy Joe Shaver and Kenny Wayne Shepherd, has also had his songs recorded by artists ranging from Ray Charles to Garth Brooks (and now, finally, the New Heathens). Formed in early 2005 the New Heathens bonded over their love of music steeped in the American traditions of blues, folk, country and rock n roll. Singer/songwriter Nate Schweber, of Missoula, Mont., plays acoustic guitar and harmonica. Butch Phelps, a Chatham, Mass. native who cut his teeth in the Portland, Ore. music scene, plays a red telecaster. Domenick Tiziano, of Mundelein, Ill. coaxes scorching licks from his collection of guitars. Dan Ambrico, a hard-rocking veteran of several New York City bands, plays bass. Terms of Use Search Search this site: October 17, 2005 Pimp My Bridge As you probably know, Photoshop CS2 and the other Creative Suite apps ship with Adobe Bridge , the browsing and workflow management hub of the Suite. What you may not know is that Bridge has been designed with extensibility in mind. The app's JavaScript extensibility layer enables everything from tiny widgets to services like Adobe Stock Photos . So, I thought it would be useful to link to some resources and examples: The Bridge scripting guide documents the app's JavaScript extensibility layer. You can write and debug these scripts using the ExtendScript toolkit that ships with all the CS2 apps, and you can discuss script development with others on the Bridge scripting forum . Adobe Studio Exchange features a set of Bridge scripts , including Import from Camera . You can of course upload your own scripts to share with community. The Adobe Solutions Network (ASN) offers a variety of Bridge extensions. For various accounting reasons, we can't just give these away (believe me, we've looked into it), but paying ASN developers can incorporate this code into their own scripts, then redistribute them. Peter Krogh's DAMUseful.com (from which I stole the title of this entry) features the Pimp My Bridge page, as well as Peter's Rank and File script for facilitating interoperability with iView Media Pro and other apps. BarredRock Software offers a variety of scripts, including one that offers much-requested extraction of metadata to a spreadsheet. PhotoshopNews.com offers a favorite to display PhotoshopNews in Bridge using the on-board Opera browser engine. Other developers have used this capability to tie Bridge into asset management systems. Jakub Kozniewski offers the Flash-based CS UI builder , a visual way to assemble JavaScript interfaces for Bridge and the other CS2 apps. Applescript is something us mere mortals can master. Javascript? Forget it. I'm a photographer, not a programmer. Please give us an Applescript Guide (and Applescript support if it's not in there). FWIW, AppleScript is supported in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and other Adobe tools. djl Productions — 07:49 AM on November 08, 2005 So do this mean we can't even run an AppleScript 'do javascript' command to control Bridge in any way? [Yes, that is correct --J.] Josh Wand — 08:18 AM on December 05, 2005 No applescript means no external application integration-- for those of us who do serious workflow automation on OS X (90% of which is done through applescript), this makes Bridge a WHOLE lot less useful. Any ETA for applescript support? I do a lot of integration with Applescript to do communication between Filemaker and PS. I had hoped to do the same with Bridge.
