Premade background myspace News Jarnal Change Log: current 4.99 Fixed a bug in which Jarnal would not load if the background is not found. It will now load, but not display the missing background. The relative paths of background files are now saved along with the absolute path; when loading if the absolute path cannot be found, the relative path is tried. So, for example, if you keep your backgrounds in the same directory as your .jaj file, or in the "background" subdirectory, you can move the directory around without the backgrounds becoming "lost." Note that the way to restore lost a lost background is to go to a page with the missing background and open the background from the correct location - the newly loaded background will then replace the missing one. ( view more ) [ View All Blog Entries ] About jamiebrownjazz Jamie's story begins in 1970 in a small town in northern Japan named Misawa. It was here that he was born of Maureen Miller and Airman Tom Brown both from Union Grove, Wisconsin. Shortly after entering the world Jamie began to travel it. By age one he and the family had moved to San Vito, Italy and then to Racine, Wisconsin. By 1974 the family had picked up and moved on again. This time would be a six year trek to Great Britain. While in school in the small village of Burton Leonard, North Yorkshire Jamie followed suit with most of the children in the British school system by learning to play his first instrument, the recorder. Later, when he was about eight Jamie was introduced to the drums. Again in school. This time he was offered free drum or guitar lessons, and although it never materialized the bug had been caught. In 1980 he moved back to Wisconsin with his mother and spent time in the California bay area with his father. It was in the small rural town of Shawano, Wisconsin that Jamie was finally able to purchase his first guitar from a dime store on Green Bay Street at age 12. The first song learned... Iron Man (Black Sabbath). In 1983 Jamie's father moved to Annapolis, Maryland and in 1985 Jamie followed. Here he met up with musical friends and began the long years of high school garage bands. It was also during this period that he met drummer Mike Snyder who recorded on brown'stone with Jamie. Great years of big hair and rock-n-roll. In 1989 Jamie made the unexpected move of joining the Army. During his four years in uniform he played with several rock bands in Georgia, Oklahoma and Germany, culminating in the fall of 1992 after a year in the Middle East with a selection to the All-Army Soldiers Show Band. His first national tour followed. In 1993 Jamie returned to Annapolis and got busy with life. Unfortunately life would eventually take over and for six years Jamie did not play. After bouncing around Maryland for a few years Jamie headed out west. He arrived in the Phoenix area on May 12, 1996 and has been there since. Jamie picked up the guitar again in 2000 and began the tough road of learning to be a musician again. This time however he did not find himself in a rock-n-roll kind of a mood. In late 2000 he wrote his first song in almost a decade. It was also the first song that was not rock. That song was named Riviera and is the eighth track on Jamie's debut release, brown'stone. From there Jamie found his new groove in the Smooth Jazz world. In 2003 the most significant event to happen in Jamie's musical world happened. He met his new neighbor. A man who had toured with the likes of Marc Anthony and Gladys Knight and had worked with almost every big name in Smooth Jazz. Mel Brown became one of his best friends as well as a musical mentor. One short year later Jamie did what he never dreamed possible. He released his debut album consisting of all original material. Jamie Brown's Friend Space Jamie Brown has 181 friends. Well, I'm in the UK at the moment, but it's getting quite cold in Sweden according to my peeps over there :) It's not that bad though....even when it gets down to -26C it doesn't feel that cold....lol...seriously, it's cause the air is always dry.
