Note: This code is VERY advanced, and should not be attempted by beginners! Thanks go to John ( Sihkness ) for inspiring this tutorial Before we start, below is how this modification will appear on your profile: XXXX Friend Space XXXX has XXXX friends. Rob Rob Rob Rob Rob Rob Rob Rob View All of XXXX's Friends Lots of pictures of me, as you can see! But before we get to this stage, we have to find out a few pieces of information! Firstly, go to your 'Home' page, and click on the 'View All of my Friends' link. This will show all the friends you currently have, now we need to find out 2 things for each friend: 1. The URL to their thumbnail image. 2. The URL to their profile page. First the thumbnail URL: From your friends page, chose a friend you want on your customized friends list, and right-click on their image and left click on 'Properties', Make a note of the 'Location' (Firefox) or the 'Address (URL)' (Internet Explorer), it is easiest to copy & paste these into notepad for reference later on. Repeat for the 8 friends you want on your friends list. Now you need to get the URL for each of their profiles. Now, for the same 8 friends, right-click on their picture and left-click 'Copy Link Location' (Firefox) or 'Copy Shortcut' (Internet Explorer). Again, make a note of these URLs, but make sure you match them up the 8 image locations you gathered in the first step. You should now have 8 image locations, and 8 matching profile URLs. Now you are ready to start customizing! From your 'Home' page, click on ' Safe Mode ' this will be where you do all your editing! Recently, a group of film students at Thammasat Universityin Thailand collaborated on a class project called My Space .The students worked hard on the project and were pleasedwith the results. But even they were surprised when, with the help ofSahamongkol Film International and Kodak, My Space earned a featurerelease, a rare honor for a student thesis film. A total of 23 students from Thammasat combined their talents in theproduction of My Space , which was photographed in the Super 16mmformat. The project was originally conceived as a "road picture," avariation on the slice-of-life movie in which the lead character takes alife-changing journey. Students struggled to complete the script. Withprincipal photography imminent, the logjam finally broke. "Suddenlysomeone mentioned love and lovers," recalls Withit Kamsrakaew, oneof the film's student directors. With the new direction, a rough plot wasfashioned in just 20 minutes. The film follows two characters: Paan, a medical student who lives oneday at a time and Nick, her apartment building neighbor. Nick is aboutto marry but he remains confused and conflicted about his relationshipwith his fiancée. When he and Paan meet, they find in each other anintangible spark that has been missing from their other relationships. My Space was photographed with an ARRIflex 16SR-3camera on Eastman EXR 50D 7245 and Kodak Vision 500T7218 film stocks. "Because My Space is a realistic story, Iarranged for lights that look real, and lit in accordance withthe main direction of light," explains Nikorn Sripongwarakulwho was involved with the production. "I tried to createmedium contrast so that the visuals would not look toocrisp. The exceptions were the flashbacks in whichthe characters relived their past. For those scenes, weincreased the contrast in order to visually differentiate themfrom the present." Lead actor Sarut Chatchawal in My Space. The student production team chose the 7245 film for outdoorand daytime shots, yielding a pristine, romantic look."The colors were fleshy and looked lively," they reported.The 500T film was used for indoor and night scenes. Thecinematographer opted to overexpose the faster film by aone-third stop or more to de-emphasize the difference intexture between the two stocks. My Space represented a rare opportunity for film studentsat Thammasat, where actual production is constrainedFeature Releasedue to limitations in equipmentand budget. My Space began asa thesis project with just sevenupper-level students, but it soonattracted a student crew of 23as well as professionals fromthe camera and lighting rentalcompany. Sahamongkol Film's staff becameinvolved with My Space duringproduction. They were soimpressed with the film's qualitythat they decided to facilitate the project's ultimate release. My Space was released publicly by Sahamongkol Film in December2004. "The success of My Space is a triumph for everyone involved,"says Poj-Piman Nawadhinsukh, country manager for Kodak in Thailand."The students participated in a truly collaborative filmmaking experience,and Sahamongkol Film joined to support local filmmaking in a new andinnovative way.
