You Are Here MyGen.co.uk Tutorials Customizefriends Sponsored Links Customize Your Friends This tutorial will customize your friends list, basically meaning you can put any 8 friends you want on your profile instead of the 8 that are randomly chosen by MySpace. Note: This code is VERY advanced, and should not be attempted by beginners! Thanks go to John ( Sihkness ) for inspiring this tutorial Before we start, below is how this modification will appear on your profile: XXXX Friend Space XXXX has XXXX friends. Rob Rob Rob Rob Rob Rob Rob Rob View All of XXXX's Friends Lots of pictures of me, as you can see! But before we get to this stage, we have to find out a few pieces of information! Firstly, go to your 'Home' page, and click on the 'View All of my Friends' link. This will show all the friends you currently have, now we need to find out 2 things for each friend: 1. The URL to their thumbnail image. 2. The URL to their profile page. First the thumbnail URL: From your friends page, chose a friend you want on your customized friends list, and right-click on their image and left click on 'Properties', Make a note of the 'Location' (Firefox) or the 'Address (URL)' (Internet Explorer), it is easiest to copy & paste these into notepad for reference later on. Repeat for the 8 friends you want on your friends list. Now you need to get the URL for each of their profiles. Now, for the same 8 friends, right-click on their picture and left-click 'Copy Link Location' (Firefox) or 'Copy Shortcut' (Internet Explorer). Again, make a note of these URLs, but make sure you match them up the 8 image locations you gathered in the first step. You should now have 8 image locations, and 8 matching profile URLs. Now you are ready to start customizing! From your 'Home' page, click on ' Safe Mode ' this will be where you do all your editing! Below is all the code for this modification, however, there is a lot of editing to do to it before it is ready to go on your profile! Various sections of the code have been colour-coded. Below is a key to what you need to do with each coloured section. "It's also about hanging on to my remaining shreds of sanity and the blue sky that comes the day after a terrible storm," he adds, "and it's a love letter to life itself, in all its beautiful, horrible glory." A homemade epic, BLINKING LIGHTS is an imaginative, emotional reflection on the condition of living, recorded mostly in Everett's Los Angeles basement over a period of several years. Sprawling over it's two discs are songs about faith, responsibility, growing up, dignity, disappointment, comfort, hope and renewal. It's the most personal eels album since 1998's ELECTRO-SHOCK BLUES. That album dealt with the nearly simultaneous suicide of Everett's sister and terminal illness of his mother, from the subjects' points of view. This album finds him a few years down the line, now battling some of the family demons himself, with the after effects of past tragedies becoming more of a personal issue in his adult life, sometimes fearlessly autobiographical, and other times built around the related stories of others. Echoes of Everett's Virginia youth are heard during a fever-dreamed summer night's picnic inside the Civil War-era graveyard near his family's house ("In The Yard, Behind The Church), while the engineer of a dying travel industry laments the long gone Washington & Old Dominion Railroad that once ran nearby ("Railroad Man"). "I recently took a train trip across America," Everett says, "and it was clear that these are the dying days of rail travel.
