Friends and band mates over the last ten years, , have played in numerous venues throughout the Western United States with bands such as Sublime, Suicidal Tendencies, Body Count, Machine Head, Everclear, 311 and Testament. I.D.M. (It Doesn't Matter) is Voyaging into a journey of sculpting a unique brand of Metal, they incorporated a variety of musical genres covering the music spectrum from punk to nu-metal, and with influences such as Fear Factory, Slayer, Helmet and Bad Religion, they maintained that basic Metal backbone and found a sound that was fresh and driving. I.D.M. began recording their first album and by the Summer of 2004, they were ready to test their music on the masses. Their first show, a local rock night at the Ventura Theatre, proved to be an overwhelming success as about 400 listeners demostrated their approval of the band's music. The management at the Ventura Theatre even took notice and invited I.D.M. to perform with Machine Head, Chimaira and Trivium on their Road Rage Tour 2004 on September 3, 2004 at the Ventura Theatre. Now one year later and over 75 live shows under their belt. IDM is back recording a full length album set for release in late 2005.I.D.M. understands what it takes to survive in the unforgiving world of music...Let the music come first and have fun when and where ever you go. Note: This code is VERY advanced, and should not be attempted by beginners! Thanks go to John ( Sihkness ) for inspiring this tutorial Before we start, below is how this modification will appear on your profile: XXXX Friend Space XXXX has XXXX friends. Firstly, go to your 'Home' page, and click on the 'View All of my Friends' link. This will show all the friends you currently have, now we need to find out 2 things for each friend: 1. The URL to their thumbnail image. 2. The URL to their profile page. First the thumbnail URL: From your friends page, chose a friend you want on your customized friends list, and right-click on their image and left click on 'Properties', Make a note of the 'Location' (Firefox) or the 'Address (URL)' (Internet Explorer), it is easiest to copy & paste these into notepad for reference later on. Repeat for the 8 friends you want on your friends list. Now you need to get the URL for each of their profiles. Now, for the same 8 friends, right-click on their picture and left-click 'Copy Link Location' (Firefox) or 'Copy Shortcut' (Internet Explorer). Again, make a note of these URLs, but make sure you match them up the 8 image locations you gathered in the first step. You should now have 8 image locations, and 8 matching profile URLs. Now you are ready to start customizing! From your 'Home' page, click on ' Safe Mode ' this will be where you do all your editing! Below is all the code for this modification, however, there is a lot of editing to do to it before it is ready to go on your profile! Various sections of the code have been colour-coded. This is because of a flash virus going around that changes your default profile picture to one of Ali G when you view an infected profile. If you find your profile has been infected, edit your profile in safe mode and delete the Books section, as the flash code that makes it spread is put in there. Then you simply goto your pictures and set your old one back to default. This filter only effects new code entered, so if you already have flash in your profile and you don't want to lose it, then DON'T EDIT YOUR PROFILE. This filter appears to only be temporary until the virus has stopped spreading, so please don't post new topics in the forums about it. See this thread for more details. Edit By Rob - It would seem the entire <embed> tag is now being replaced with <BlockedContent> meaning that absolutely no flash player, or flash movie, or flash game, will work on your profile anymore. Third edit by Rocky It has been pointed out on the forums that the embed tag ISN'T filtered if you put it in the "Companies" section in the "Company Name" field. Although this limits you to where you can put your embeds, at least you can get your playlist on your profile again. Thanks to whoever originally found this out! More - It seems the .swf extension is still being filtered in the Companies section, so you will need to put your flash movie URL into tinyurl or use a similar trick for it to work.
