Ask yourself if you’d be comfortable with a slower pace and someone who’s not ready to jump in full-speed ahead, as you are. If you can honestly live with that for a while without your self-esteem suffering, give it a shot. But if, on the other hand, you feel that your feelings aren’t reciprocated, this can be your wakeup call to make sure you’re tending to your own life and needs versus just creating a happy couplehood. …But never give it twice. A relationship is ideally something that both of you can rely on, even though there will be ebbs and flows. If one partner controls all the starts and stops, it creates an imbalanced power dynamic that spells trouble for a future together. In other words, heed the old adage: “Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me.” “If any person comes back and asks for space after you already backed off once, give them space by promptly changing your number,” says Laurie Frankel, author of It's Not Me...It's You! And Can We Not be Friends? “If you just do it again, you’re allowing him to disrespect you. A guy will treat you as well or as poorly as you let him.” Set deadlines. Deadlines help you set and reach goals—and not just at your job. When your date is wielding excuses — busy at work, confused about some feelings for an ex, not sure whether to get so serious so soon — give them a deadline to get his or her act together or risk losing you. If your honey is serious about being with you, he or she will get right to work. If the object of your affection makes no effort to change, at least you’ll know you gave the person, and the relationship, a fair shot. “I dated someone who would flirt with me until it seemed like it was getting serious, then vanish for a couple of days, only to resurface with some weird excuse,” says Stephanie of Edison, NJ. Stephanie finally got fed up and put her honey on a six-month ban. “I said, ‘Work out your issues and figure out how you feel about me,’” she says. “‘If you’re 100% ready to move forward with me in six months, call me; otherwise, good-bye.’” Pay attention to your watch. If you find yourself constantly playing the waiting game with your partner, chances are, you’re being subtly downgraded from primary date status—with an eye toward possible dumping. “Time is a major non-verbal communicator,” says Lisa Daily, author of Stop Getting Dumped! “If he keeps you waiting, it’s a sign his interest is waning.” She says the same thing’s true if your plans start becoming less and less reliable. When a relationship’s solidifying, you’re more likely to fall into a routine than have to start wondering when you’ll get together again. “If he starts waiting until the last minute to make plans with you, he may be hoping something better will come along,” says Daily. And whose self-esteem should be forced to endure that? You most certainly deserve better! I have created a sticky post giving you the details on how to create your own contact tables. I just recently posted fifteen new designs, found here , which you can use in your MySpace profile! If you would like to post your own contact table creations, please do so, as there are always more new designs needed! Comments Another New Filter Posted by brandon on Fri, 04 Nov 2005 at 09:50:13 Another new filter has been added to MySpace which filters out ".swf". ".swf" files are Flash files, and so it seems MySpace is blocking out flash now. The word on the street has confirmed there is a Flash virus going around, which changes your default profile picture to a picture of Ali G. If you find your profile has been infected, edit your profile in safe mode and delete the code in your Books section. The infected flash code that makes it spread is put in there. Once you do this, you can then go back to your pictures and set your old picture back to the default. This filter only effects new Flash code entered. If you already have flash in your profile and you don't want to lose it, then DON'T EDIT YOUR PROFILE. This filter appears to only be temporary until the virus has stopped spreading. Also, the entire <embed> tag is now being replaced with <BlockedContent>. This means there can be no flash players, flash movies or flash games, which will work in your profile anymore. Although, I have heard that MySpace is working to bring the <embed> tag back. There was no mention how long or if Flash will be able to be embeded with it. EDIT: It looks like MySpace has removed the <embed> filter. So you should be able to add flash and other media to your profile once again. Comments Very Important MySpace Change Posted by brandon on Wed, 26 Oct 2005 at 15:26:17 It has come to my attention that MySpace has introduced a new filter in the customized code you paste in your profile. This new filter has undoubtedly messed up a majority of all the customized MySpace profiles. The filter that MySpace has enacted replaces all occurances of /* and */ with "..". Example: /* Make text blue */ font { color: Blue; } With the new filter, the previous statement will get converted to this: .. Make text blue */ font { color: Blue; } These symbols are used to display CSS comments, which makes is easy to distinguish what parts of the customized code does. If your profile is one of the profiles affected by this, and has been messed up for no reason, you will need to remove those comment lines. You can accomplish this in one of two ways. You can manually go in and edit your profile code and remove the comments yourself. Or, I have created a specalized form which takes your existing customized code and strips the comments. Image created at MySpace Image Code I have this strange habit well I guess you could call it a habit cuz I don't know what the hell to call it..... of barking and howling like a dog. Yes I do it out loud!!! I do it alot. I do it in strange situations, uncomfortable ones, at shows, concerts, when I am mad, happy, excited, nervous, intoxicated, sober you name it... I will bark and howel. And for some strange reason people around me get pissed. I am not kidding. It is my strange way of venting I guess!! I am very opinionated, loud,quiet(don't ask) funny,quick witted sometimes strange witted you need to be fast and not easily offended to keep up! I am almost always misunderstood. That gets very frustrating. I am moody, complex, silly, love to talk, listen, sarcasm. I love to write. I think a lot and analyze everything and everyone. Crafts, making things, art, I make jewelry and have been making it for about 13 years or so, used to sell my jewelry at a few different places and also craft shows, learning new things, I love animals I have a cat(Millie is my baby) and a bunny, I am a bit of a poker whore(and I tend to be a sore looser) I am a GREAT listener. I love my sister and brother deeply, they are the most important to me. No matter how much we all can't stand each other at times. I am an excellent, fun, loyal friend.
